A magnificent castle in extraodinary condition sits atop the hill. A small canal runs between the red tile roof homes. This place is straight out of a fairy tale and is a perfect example of a wealthy medieval city, complete with cobblestone streets. Ceske Budejovice is a larger city with one of the largest town squares in Europe. Nearby is Zlata Koruna Kloister, worthy of a side trip and adjoining a popular vacation area with a riverside setting.
