Excellent pack for in-bounds skiing

Hydrapak’s Chute rocks as an in-bounds skiing hydration pack. The sternum strap on this well designed pack stays on your sternum instead of your throat, and the water bladder is designed similarly to the dry bags river rats have known about years. Using a drybag closure allows the bladder to be turned inside out, making it easy to clean and dry out, while the insulated hose and valve cap work to a certain degree. There comes a point when insulation alone won’t cut the mustard. though, so when it is really cold, you have two choices: blow the water out of the tube or wear the bladder under your shell. The Chute is so low profile, that wearing it under your shell is no issue. A small volume (50 oz.) pack that fits big people, the Chute is a perfect pack for staying hydrated on those days when running laps at the resort is a better choice than taking your chances in the backcountry.
