Why buy a messenger bag if you're not a courier? Because it's cool and it works. Chrome has been making messenger bags with a lifetime warranty in the USA for 11 years. The Metropolis is their second to largest messenger bag at 2,000 cubic inches. With this much room, your back will give out before the bag does. Many bags and packs are made with 500d Cordura nylon, but Chrome uses a 1,000d shell with a PVC liner thicker than most tarps. Wear, tear, rain, snow, etc. are no match for this waterproof bag. Pen slots and separate stash and zippered compartments provide convenience for small things. The cover stays closed with wide Velcro patches setup in a perpendicular pattern so you don't have to worry about aligning each side. Plastic buckles with reflective straps can also be used to secure the flap, with attachments to prevent them from dangling when not in use. The signature mark of the Metropolis is the thick foam padded shoulder strap, with one-hand adjustment of a metal seat belt buckle.
