Water purification that's small and reliable

There are several ways to purify water when traveling. Many cool gadgets exist that claim to purify water better or faster than the competition. The problem with complex devices is they can break. I've had 2 vacations in a row where my fancy water purifier broke, leaving me without any means to clean water for the rest of my trip. Luckily on my last trip I also had KlearWater water treatment with me. It's a yellow liquid you mix with water to kill all the nasty stuff that makes you sick. It works similar to iodine tablets; add and wait 15-30 minutes. The big difference is the chlorine dioxide results in water that's clear and has no funny taste. You can also use it to clean wounds and sanitize hands. Each container treats 32 quarts/liters of water with no moving or electrical parts to break.
