Thailand Pictures: The Isaan area is located in the Northeast part of Thailand, near the Cambodia border. These temples were built in the 10th century in the Khmer style. The Hindu stone architecure here is much different than that of Bangkok. Very few tourists visit this rural area, giving it a different feel than the more popular places in Thailand.
